Good afternoon, BCOEL network

I'm sure you're all getting excited for the various OE week events coming up, but thought I would share a quick round-up of options before the week really kicks off!

  1. SFU: Community Panel
  2. TRU: Kickoff event
  3. BCIT: Growing OERs Across Institutions: A Collaborative Cycle
  4. UBC: Gen AI and OERs in Teaching & Learning as well as a number of other events.
  5. KPU...has lots! Check out their Events page
  6. VCC: Adopting and Adopting OER
  7. Douglas: OE Week Celebration

The BCcampus OE week event page links to a number of the above events, as well as community events like the Open Education Talks which happen every Wednesday in March from 11:00-12:30am PST. OER Commons has created an OE Week Assets Collection to highlight the work being done by the global community...it already has 55 resources and is only growing!

Lastly, our BCOEL event Vectors of Trust: Practicing Reciprocal Values in Challenging Times is happening this Thursday March 6th from 2:30-3:30 online [and in-person at Langara from 12pm-onwards)!

I'll be sure to share a quick overview after our BCOEL Steering Committee meeting next Monday, and you'll also find more details in BCOEL Meeting Minutes as well.

Thanks all and hope you have a great week ahead!

Best,
Liz
