Hello all,

May I ask you to promote BCOEL's March 6th event at your home institutions?  Unfortunately, we only have about 12 people registered so far (compared with about 100 people for last year's event). Please be sure to sign yourselves up too, even if you can't make it or plan to attend the in-person group event. This will ensure you receive the recording, and will give us a better sense of the event's reach (BCcampus seeks these kind of metrics as a sponsorship condition).

Sincere thanks for helping to make this event a success!

Good afternoon, all

Hope you're enjoying this lovely Friday before the long weekend!

The BCOEL Steering Committee met this Monday and had a great meeting! We discussed what everyone is planning for the upcoming OE week, as well as discussed questions about publishing, textbook costs and more! You can find all previous minutes on the BCOEL Meeting Minutes page

We're also excited to officially announce the BCOEL OE Week hybrid event on March 6th. We're delighted to have Dr. Ann Gagné present a virtual keynote titled: Vectors of Trust: Practicing Reciprocal Values in Challenging Times from 2:30-3:30pm. I'm really looking forward to it, and all are welcome to join. Find more details and registration link on the BCOEL OEWeek Event Registration page

As a hybrid event, we will also be holding an in-person portion at Langara College on March 6th from about 12:00-16:00 (specific campus location on campus to come). We've organized an afternoon of activity! There will be lunch, a screening of the BCIT OE event taking place from 13:00-14:00, coffee break, and will conclude with the keynote presentation. We can continue the festivities at the Langara Clubhouse afterwards as well. The in-person event is only for the BCOEL network, please respond to this message (or me personally) before Friday February 28th to express interest and attendance.

Thanks all in advance and hope you have a terrific weekend ahead!

Best,
Liz
