UNESCO Survey on OER Capacity Building Initiatives

If you’ve created courses to build capacity in any aspect of OER, UNESCO has a survey out to collect all these initiatives: OER Capacity Building Initiatives (unesco.org)<https://survey.unesco.org/3/index.php?r=survey/index&sid=284398&lang=en> It was shared by OE Global’s Perrine De Coëtlogon during this morning’s OEGfr session. I seem to remember she mentioned March 30 as a deadline. While the questionnaire is long, URL and name are the only essential parts. Survey: Canadian Distribution of OpenStax hardcover textbooks

Dear colleagues, BCcampus, in partnership with Vretta<https://www.vretta.com/ordering.html> and the Manitoba Open Textbook Initiative<https://openedmb.ca/>, is surveying Canadian post-secondary institutions about their knowledge about/adoption of/suggested improvements to the distribution of OpenStax’s hardbound books in Canada<https://bccampus.ca/2021/02/23/hard-back-openstax-books-come-to-canada/>, and the usage of and need for printed open textbooks in general. Faculty, librarians, bookstore staff, and students are invited to participate in the Canadian Distribution of OpenStax hardcover textbooks<https://sfu-bccampus.cmail20.com/t/d-l-qcjdty-ehldhkki-jl/> survey. All responses are anonymous. Final results will be shared out later this year. Question re: H5P and Pressbooks

Hi Everyone, I have a prof who is on a joint session between the Canada Media Fund, DOCTalks and SSHRC for Congress this June. His concept is to use an H5P branching scenario that will guide users through a series of videos to learn more about using documentary media for knowledge mobilization purposes. He’s wondering if Pressbooks be a good place to host this? The session will be live and synchronous but attendees will have the chance to engage with the videos at their own pace through the session for 15-20 minutes. Also, there are estimates that there could be up to 600 attendees. Does anyone know if Pressbooks is able to handle that level of traffic? I tried posting a question to the H5P Forum, but although I can login to the H5P.org website, I can’t seem to post to the forum, so I thought that I’d take it out to this list as I don’t have much experience yet with H5P. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
