This conversation will be posted as a pre-recorded podcast with an accompanying transcript. In addition to these Open Education Week events, BCcampus would also like to invite you to an upcoming FLO Course: FLO Course: Universal Design for Learning<https://bccampus.ca/event/flo-course-universal-design-for-learning/> When: February 21, 2022 – March 4, 2022 What: This course is a short, practical introduction to the UDL framework and how you can apply it to create inclusive learning environments. Two synchronous sessions are planned (see the event for more details), and attendees are expected to invest several asynchronous hours of study per week. This event has a $25 registration fee. This is an open event for women in the skilled trades (apprentices, journey-people, and faculty) to gather for the purpose of sharing ideas, experiences, success stories, and struggles with being in the skilled trades. Building communities of practice is essential to the successful journey from apprentice to graduate. We will be hosting a few female trades faculty to share their stories and ideas on how we can encourage and promote more women to enter and, more importantly, complete their training and education in the skilled trades.
