Updates from the Alberta OER Community of Practice: 

2nd annual CoP Summit was at Mount Royal University on May 14 with David Porter as our excellent and inspiring keynote and an afternoon filled with 4 table discussions hosted about open pedagogy, infrastructure, copyright/IP, and project/news/sharing. 2019 summit will be hosted by Athabasca University. 

We are creating a newsletter! 

Updates from me: 

I have 8 OER Awards Projects active through UofA OER Awards program. Scope is to find/use OER but creating has become inevitable. :) Descriptions are here.

Our Students' Union Vice-President Academic has taken the lead role to Chair a previously grassroots-run UofA OER Advocacy Group.
