Subject: [LibOER] Open Education Global 2021 Conference
To: SPARC Libraries & OER Forum <liboer@sparcopen.org>
Hi there SPARC open education colleagues. We’re excited to announce that the call for proposals for the
Open Education Global 2021 conference is now open until May 7th.
This year Open Education Global (OEGlobal) is trying something different by having the conference focus on raising awareness of, and taking action on, the
UNESCO OER Recommendation.
The conference has a five day online conference component running from Sept-27 through Oct-1, with each day focusing on a different action area of the Recommendation, and an in-person congress 5-7-Oct (pandemic
permitting) in Nantes France.
A special aspect of this years conference is support for sessions in all six of the official UNESCO languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish). We see this as a significant step forward in embracing the diversity and inclusion aspects of
open education.
The conference website is now live and the
Call for Proposals for the online conference portion of the event is open.
I invite you all to submit a proposal and it will be super helpful if you could circulate the conference website and call for proposals through your networks and encourage others to submit. Thanks for your help in advancing open education through this global
community effort.
Paul
