Hi Jessica,
Sam Newton (Sam.Newton@kpu.ca<mailto:Sam.Newton@kpu.ca>) at Kwantlen Polytechnic
University created with his students the accounting textbooks Introductory Canadian
Tax<https://kpu.pressbooks.pub/cdntax/> and Intermediate Canadian
Tax<https://kpu.pressbooks.pub/intercdntax/>.
According to the KPU directory, Sam is on leave right now, so I don't know if
he's available to answer emails. Perhaps try Rajiv Jhangiani (Rajiv.Jhangiani(a)kpu.ca)
as well, as he seemed to be involved with getting the project going.
Best,

Subject: [Canadaoer] Examples of student authored Pressbook?
Hi All,
I have an instructor who wants to create a student authored Pressbook. What we need to
work out is the logistics of multiple students developing content for a single book. I am
currently reviewing A Guide to Making Open Textbooks with
Students<https://press.rebus.community/makingopentextbookswithstudents/>, but we are
curious about the practical process of managing student creation of content. If you know
of a Pressbook that was authored by a class, I’d love to speak to the faculty member about
their process!
Cheers,
Jessica

Oki, Amba’wastitch, Danit’ada, Tân’si, Hello. We would like to acknowledge that SAIT is
situated on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy. The City of Calgary
encompasses a region that the Blackfoot tribes of Southern Alberta described as
Moh’kinsstis, meaning ‘Elbow,’ in reference to its location at the confluence of the Bow
and Elbow rivers. Since time immemorial, this region was a traditional gathering place for
the tribes of the Blackfoot Confederacy. We are meeting/gathered on the traditional
territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy, which, today encompasses the Indigenous people
of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta: the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the
Tsuut’ina, the Stoney Nakoda First Nations, the Northwest Métis Homeland – Region 3.
