Building Champions and Allies - For Open and Indigenizing Pedagogies
Teaching and Learning Today 2018, to be held at the University of Saskatchewan May 1 &
2 2018, is tackling two of the most important paradigm shifts in higher education across
Canada, indigenizing and opening academia and exploring where they may intersect. We are
calling on all champions and allies of these two movements to join us in sharing,
discovering, and learning about the challenges, rewards, and shifts in education that are
impacting and transforming our institutions. Kory Wilson, the Executive Director,
Aboriginal Initiatives and Partnerships for the British Columbia Institute of Technology
(BCIT) will be the opening keynote for this conference. If you are interested in building,
driving, or supporting indigenization or open pedagogy, please save the date. Space will
be limited.
